TEC designed the new terminal for the CAT ferry currently operating between Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and Bar Harbor, Maine. TEC’s work included providing plans, specifications, permitting, and construction observation. Our design called for the re-use of the existing Ro-Ro ramp from Portland (Which TEC had previously retrofitted in 2016). The existing terminal in Bar Harbor was fitted with a new approach span, modified fender system, and pontoon guide system. The reuse of the existing ramp, and modification of the existing terminal in bar harbor, allowed for considerable costs savings for our client.
